About the Role
Island is shaping the future of work by creating an enterprise workspace for knowledge workers and agents, focusing on access, security, and AI-powered productivity. The Quality Group engineering team seeks a Test Development Engineer to ensure high-quality product delivery through manual and automated testing.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and run manual and automated test scenarios.
- Collaborate with R&D engineering teams to ensure high-quality feature and product releases.
- Lead test solution innovations to reduce test time and improve product quality.
- Adapt testing plans to fit real-world scenarios by understanding enterprise customer use cases and environment setups.
- Fix bugs in test suites and customer-facing products.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in manual test design.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to write, debug, and maintain test code.
- Experience in automation test development for enterprise products is an advantage.
- Creativity to find solutions for challenging requirements.
- A degree in computer science or a related field is an advantage.
