About the Role
Supervises, coordinates, and performs general maintenance activities for a multi-unit residential property of higher complexity, including mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and housekeeping tasks.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and coordinates maintenance staff, including hiring recommendations, discipline, and performance appraisals.
- Trains, coaches, and communicates with maintenance staff.
- Performs or assigns work to repair and maintain mechanical equipment, including heating and air conditioning.
- Diagnoses problems, disassembles units, cleans, lubricates, repairs, and replaces parts.
- Performs or assigns carpentry duties, including installation and repair of doors, moldings, locks, and hardware.
- Performs or assigns drywall or plaster repair and painting duties.
- Performs or assigns electrical duties, including inspecting and testing circuits, and replacing faulty components.
- Performs or assigns plumbing duties, including unclogging drains, repairing faucets, and replacing pipes.
- Interfaces with contractors and vendors, creates specifications, secures bids, and negotiates for goods and services.
Requirements
- 3 - 4 Years of Commercial or Multi-unit Property experience required.
- Computer and smart phone literacy required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Multilingual skills are a plus.
- 5 - 7 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements.
