About the Role
As a Principal Engineer, you will drive the strategy for ML6's AI offerings, focusing on Customer Experience and Emerging domains. This role blends technical leadership with business strategy and client-facing excellence to define how ML6 delivers AI-powered solutions at scale.
Responsibilities
- Drive the strategy for our domains, deciding where to invest efforts and how to approach the market.
- Act as a key decision-maker in the technology roadmap, balancing innovation with client needs, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
- Act as a key technical differentiator in winning large deals by understanding customer challenges and translating them into AI-powered solutions.
- Guide large and complex projects from ideation to successful delivery.
- Ensure delivery excellence across projects by building reusable building blocks and fostering knowledge sharing.
- Act as a critical resource for project teams, helping them overcome complex technical, functional, and organizational challenges.
- Motivate teams, facilitate clear communication, and set responsibilities to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Provide technical or functional guidance and support to tech leads.
- Share expertise and operate as a thought leader within ML6 and externally through industry events.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in tech or consultancy with a proven track record of delivering large and complex AI/software projects.
- Deep passion and knowledge of GenAI, conversational AI, and/or agentic systems, with a clear interest in customer-facing use cases and emerging technologies.
- Strong understanding of enterprise technology landscapes and the organizational realities of implementing AI solutions at scale.
- Comfortable commanding room presence with executive stakeholders (CTO/C-level) and owning pre-sales technical design.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to bridge the gap between technical solutions and business value.
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills and the ability to ensure resolution in critical situations.
- Proactive and self-starting leader who thrives on taking full ownership of projects, teams, and domains.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Speaking a local language like Dutch or German is a plus.
