About the Role
Join an early-stage startup as the first senior AI hire, responsible for the end-to-end quality and intelligence of multi-channel marketing agents. You will collaborate directly with the founder, influence agent architecture and evaluation systems, and build out the AI team.
Responsibilities
- Improve agent output and content quality across various platforms (Reddit, LinkedIn, X, long-form articles) using measurable evaluation systems.
- Enhance SEO and generative engine optimization (GEO) performance.
- Design feedback loops for agents to learn from real-world results and performance signals at scale.
- Manage AI infrastructure, agent architecture, model strategy, and associated data pipelines.
- Recruit and lead the AI team as the organization expands.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience building production ML or AI systems.
- Recent hands-on experience shipping LLM products or agents.
- Demonstrated experience in evaluation design and outcome-signal learning in domains such as search, ranking, or recommendations.
- Proficiency in TypeScript (Next.js) and Python, with the ability to handle end-to-end development, data, and evaluation tasks.
- Strong judgment regarding output quality, with the ability to quantify and act upon it.
- Experience taking ownership in a startup or small team environment.
- Background in search or ranking, particularly with Google or AI answer engines.
- Bonus qualifications include leading an AI lab or top research program, marketing/GTM exposure, or experience with RL/recommender systems.
