About the Role
This part-time seasonal position assists UPS Package Drivers with deliveries and pick-ups of UPS packages at UPS drop boxes and customer locations in and around Markham Area. The role involves working in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment, which requires continuous lifting, lowering, and carrying of packages. This position is essential to providing excellent customer service through efficiency and dedication.
Responsibilities
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted.
- Meet UPS driver at assigned local meet point.
- Deliver and pick up UPS packages efficiently and effectively.
- Learn and properly execute UPS package handling/delivery methods.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required.
- Record, track, and maintain information about delivered packages.
- Comply with UPS appearance guidelines by wearing the company-provided vest and uniform.
Requirements
- Must be able to work 3-5 hours a day, various start times available between 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to deliver packages by means of walking.
- Hours may vary depending on the work volume.
