About the Role
The Customer Service Desk is the first point of contact for incoming patrons and is one of the most important roles in the stores. As a Customer Service Associate, you are ensuring customer satisfaction by responding to inquiries and concerns.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers upon entering the store
- Answer and forward all incoming calls
- Respond to customer questions, comments, and complaints (involving management when necessary)
- Process and update customer requests for company Perx Card
- Sell and cash New York State Lottery transactions while adhering to all state and county regulations
- Properly process cash transactions, all forms of payments and discounts, EBT, WIC, coupons, and store discounts
Requirements
- Part time availability - with at least two days during the week and one weekend day
- At least 2 years of friendly and welcoming customer service
- Previous cashiering experience required
- Grocery and/or retail experience preferred
- Exceptional communication skills with an ability to handle stressful situations carefully
- Highly motivated individual
- Team player with the ability to work independently at times
- Ability to multitask
- Focused and efficient
- The ability to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time
