About the Role
Urban Pathways is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance and cleaning of facilities and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and functional environment for the individuals served by the organization.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine and comprehensive general maintenance and cleaning of the facility and equipment.
- Maintains, cleans, repairs, and ensures the safety of the building.
- Mops, cleans, strips, and buffs floors as scheduled.
- Provides consistent assessment of facility maintenance needs.
- Maintains all aspects of the physical facility in proper order.
- Coordinates with the Director of Operations to develop a preventative maintenance plan.
- Performs painting, light bulb changes, and minor repairs.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of experience in building maintenance and janitorial duties or equivalent experience.
- Experience with homeless, persons living with mental illness, and substance abuse population preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
- OSHA license is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid required within 3 months of hire.
- AED preferred.
Education Level
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
