About the Role
We're looking for a Maintenance Planner to keep our facilities and production line equipment running. You'll plan preventive maintenance, schedule repairs, track parts, and ensure the right technician has the right job at the right time. This role is crucial for maintaining operational continuity.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for facilities systems (HVAC, electrical, building infrastructure) and production line equipment.
- Turn maintenance requests into work orders, prioritizing by urgency, safety, and impact on production.
- Track and order necessary parts and spares inventory for production equipment.
- Coordinate with technicians, vendors, and outside contractors to schedule work with minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate records in the CMMS, including work orders, asset history, and downtime.
- Track maintenance costs and identify equipment that is more expensive to repair than replace.
- Run weekly planning meetings with maintenance and production leads to review backlog and upcoming work.
Requirements
- 3+ years in maintenance planning or scheduling, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience with a CMMS (MaintainX, Maximo, SAP, or similar).
- Comfortable reading equipment manuals and basic mechanical/electrical schematics.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple work orders effectively.
- Clear communication skills to act as a liaison between technicians, vendors, and production leaders.
- Experience with equipment spare parts BOM.
- Knowledge of spare parts crib management.
