About the Role
Responsible for generating a production plan to maintain necessary inventory levels, ensuring timely material ordering and delivery, and keeping records up-to-date.
Responsibilities
- Review labels, packaging, and film requirements to schedule production based on supply and communicate needs.
- Examine client orders to prepare a production plan that meets requirements.
- Collaborate with QA, Sales, and Customer Service to fulfill client orders.
- Coordinate cross-functional research to reconcile variances and refine forecast models.
- Provide input for inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and phase-outs.
- Report scheduling, manage orders for deployment, and manipulate spreadsheets.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly efficiency, yield, and productivity reports.
- Run the Planning Worksheet on an ERP system for the planning process.
- Enter data into the system for product delivery.
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate results.
- Ensure sufficient supply for shipping, organize materials, and create/adhere to schedules.
- Monitor orders on hold and their release status.
- Manage order and delivery dates.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a Production Scheduler.
- Experience implementing and utilizing ERP software.
- Extensive knowledge of MPS/MRP, Demand Flow, JIT, Forecasting, Inventory Planning, and Supply Chain Design.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, lead business discussions, and train others.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to find new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing practices.
- Highly focused and proactive.
