About the Role

We are seeking a senior, client-facing digital media leader to oversee digital and retail media for KEN's clients, managing the process from planning through final reporting. This role involves identifying digital and commerce opportunities within briefs, developing plans, and ensuring successful execution and measurement. You will collaborate with the Head of Media on pitches and RFPs, serve as the primary digital contact for clients, and work with the digital execution team to ensure well-packaged and clearly reported media plans. Additionally, you will establish standards, playbooks, and training to enhance KEN's in-house digital capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior digital point of contact for KEN’s clients, discussing strategy, presenting results, and recommending new channels.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Media to align digital strategy with overall media plans and present integrated proposals.
  • Lead retail media planning and strategy development across various on-site and off-site platforms.
  • Manage Amazon Ads strategy, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and Amazon DSP.
  • Support new business and organic growth pitches by developing digital and retail media recommendations.
  • Set retention and growth goals for digital media components of accounts.
  • Build cross-channel digital plans encompassing programmatic, CTV/OTT, paid social, search, and retail media.
  • Advise clients on first-party data, audience activation, and conversion APIs, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Create clear briefs for the strategy and activation teams, detailing objectives, budgets, KPIs, and measurement frameworks.
  • Partner with Bakery Agency on digital and retail creative specifications, timelines, and testing.
  • Oversee campaign execution, quality control, in-flight optimization, and client communication on performance.
  • Develop and maintain KEN's digital campaign playbooks, pacing documents, and naming conventions.
  • Lead post-campaign reporting and quarterly business reviews, advising on attribution modeling and incrementality testing.
  • Track and report on the digital aspects of media pitches and active accounts to leadership.
  • Mentor and train junior team members on digital and retail media best practices.
  • Recommend digital, retail media, and AI tools to improve planning, measurement, and efficiency.
  • Address complex technical issues and translate them into clear business value for clients.
  • Identify and resolve workflow inefficiencies, leveraging AI for automation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, platforms, retail media networks, privacy rules, and AI, proactively bringing new ideas to clients.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in digital media at an agency or in-house.
  • 3+ years in a senior, client-facing role.
  • 2+ years planning and managing retail media programs.
  • Hands-on Amazon Sponsored Ads and Amazon DSP management.
  • Experience with at least one other major retail media network (Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart, Kroger or similar).
  • Experience contributing to the digital portion of pitches and RFPs.
  • Familiarity with planning and running campaigns across major platforms (DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, CM360, SA360, Meta, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, Google Ads, Spotify, Vistar).
  • Experience designing cross-channel media plans with complex KPIs, including sales and retail metrics (ROAS, iROAS, ACOS, TACOS, new-to-brand).
  • Experience mentoring junior team members.
  • A degree or diploma in business, marketing, or communications, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of on-site and off-site retail media, including keyword and bid strategy, retail DSPs, and closed-loop measurement.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in complex agency environments.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Ability to write clear and complete briefs.
  • Solid grasp of attribution, incrementality, tracking, and reporting.
