About the Role
Responsible for managing incoming/outgoing shipments, inventory accuracy, focusing on safety, efficiency, and compliance while coordinating with other departments to ensure product flow standards.
Responsibilities
- Championing our Zero is Possible safety culture.
- Supervising staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, payroll, delegating tasks, motivating and mentoring staff, and managing schedules.
- Manage & audit shipping documentation, systems and processes, including System 21, IFS, bills of lading, packing lists, advanced shipping notices, and customs forms to ensure compliance with company processes, policies and regulations.
- Maintaining our high standards including our on-time shipment of product lines.
- Manage the cycle count program and year end physical inventory.
- Collaborate with other departments, including customer service, sales, and operations for the purpose of streamlining processes, maintaining a smooth workflow and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- 3-5 years shipping, warehouse, or distributions operations.
- Minimum 1-2 years supervising dock or shipping staff directly.
- Ability to clearly communicate with carriers, staff and internal customers.
- Ability to manage time-sensitive, competing priorities simultaneously while remaining calm under pressure.
- Ability to work varied hours, including OT, and weekends.
- Heavy lifting is required.
