About the Role
This role partners with Operations Leadership to ensure all warehouse functions are completed efficiently. You will assign work to warehouse associates, ensuring company and customer standards for service, quality, safety, and productivity are met. This is an excellent position to begin your career path within Lineage, offering opportunities for greater responsibilities and promotions.
Responsibilities
- Plan, assign, and direct the work of warehouse associates within a designated area.
- Report defective or damaged products and follow up with appropriate corrective action.
- Manage warehouse associate responsibilities including loading and unloading, forklift operation, and product relocation.
- Handle and document daily inspections, including equipment and inbound/outbound trailer inspections.
- Check inbound/outbound shipments for compliance, reporting quantity differences and quality issues.
- Maintain communication with Traffic and Customer Service departments.
- Coach and provide feedback to warehouse associates.
- Perform assigned projects as instructed.
Requirements
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
- Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud.
