About the Role
Little Lukes is seeking Assistant Teachers to support daycare classrooms in an inclusive preschool setting. You will work with a team of Certified Lead Teachers and Special Education Teachers to support children's development and education, preparing them for kindergarten through engaging interactions.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional care and instruction to preschool children.
- Support the development and education of children ages 3-5.
- Assist in teaching academic and social skills using language-based interactions.
- Help create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment.
- Implement effective classroom management.
- Help set and reinforce classroom expectations and routines.
Requirements
- A passion for offering the best care and education for local children and their families.
- Expertise in delivering care for the educational, developmental, and social emotional growth of children.
- A warm, engaging approach with a family-centered focus.
- The drive to work hard, adapt to change, and be your best self.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to share feedback collaboratively and in a solution-oriented way.
- An active NYS Teacher Assistant certification is preferred but not required; the company will pay for certification.
