About the Role
The Vice President of Capital Markets will source and secure capital for real estate investments, build and manage lender relationships, negotiate agreements, oversee closings, and project investment capital strength. This role is integral to the company's growth vision and strategy, reporting to the CFO.
Responsibilities
- Source and structure debt for real estate investments, both development and acquisitions
- Develop and maintain investor and lender relationships
- Manage the transaction closing process
- Review and negotiate loan documents
- Review and negotiate partnership/joint venture documents
- Review and approve construction draws
- Forecast capital needs and oversee capital compliance throughout the investment period
- Lead and implement internal investment-level capital processes across multiple divisions
Requirements
- Prior experience sourcing, negotiating and closing debt for real estate investments on the principal side of a commercial real estate firm.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field and at least 10 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPA and/or MBA are preferred.
