About the Role
Provide services to adults diagnosed with mental illness living in a group home, offering supportive counseling, rehabilitation skills, and assistance with daily living.
Responsibilities
- Provide supportive counseling.
- Provide rehabilitation skills such as teaching of daily living skills including medication management and coping skills, crisis intervention and prevention.
- Facilitate recreation activities for socialization and stress reduction.
- Maintain a healthy and clean environment for clients, ensuring chores are done correctly and assisting with cleaning activities.
Requirements
- Valid and insurable driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to be organized and have good time management skills.
- All offers of employment will be contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed background checks.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience working with people who have a diagnosis of mental illness or other human service experience.

Education Level
- High school diploma required
- College classes in human services preferred
Salary/Compensations
- $21.46/hour
- $35,709.44/annual equivalent
