About the Role
GW Lisk Military and Aerospace group designs and manufactures Solenoids, Solenoid Valves and Flame Arrestors for Military and Commercial Aerospace vehicles and aircraft. This entry-level Engineer position focuses on gaining experience by applying standard engineering techniques and practices to support Senior or Principle Engineers. Activities include mechanical and electrical system design, failure analysis, testing, validation, report writing, and project management within a cross-functional team environment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in new product development projects from creation through development, qualification, and serial production.
- Support design feasibility studies to achieve performance, quality, cost, and timing expectations.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic testing for failure analyses, product validation, and troubleshooting.
- Apply engineering principles to new product designs or modifications of existing products.
- Analyze test data and reports to ensure designs meet functional and performance specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with customers and internal functional groups.
- Plan work and deliver accurate results on time.
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Effective communication skills, including presenting technical data clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong process and detail orientation.
