About the Role
As a Reconditioning Associate, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every vehicle meets CarMax’s quality standards for quality and presentation. This is an opportunity to start a rewarding career with the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry, and learn from a best-in-class team.
Responsibilities
- Log and track vehicle deliveries and inventory to maintain accurate records
- Move and stage vehicles across the lot for optimal customer viewing
- Ensure a clean, welcoming environment that reflects CarMax’s commitment to excellence
- Perform reconditioning tasks such as cleaning, vacuuming, and detailing vehicles to meet quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to deliver outstanding customer experiences
- Learn and apply best practices in automotive care and inventory management
- Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Requirements
- High level of motivation and a strong work ethic
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to thrive in a collaborative environment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
