About the Role
As the team’s Repair Manager, you will provide detailed inspections and estimates to homeowners for new repair work. You will identify and assign new repair opportunities, procure materials, manage crews, and oversee project completion. You will also identify larger opportunities for full replacement projects and refer them to the sales department. You will be part of a collaborative, agile team working to fulfill our mission of saving communities from unscrupulous contractors.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates crew members and materials to ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budgetary guidelines.
- Manages and tracks project budgets, including material costs, labor expenses, and other project-related expenditures.
- Oversees the preparation of project schedules, allocates resources, and tracks project progress.
- Sets expectations for project instructions and commitments to customers.
- Manages internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
- Sources and negotiates contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to project specifications.
- Manages ensuring the resolve of worksite problems or scheduling issues.
- Manages suppliers to ensure materials are delivered to project sites and deliveries are sent out.
- Ensures that assigned repair teams have the necessary equipment and materials for project work and to meet project deadlines.
- Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet project schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned project managers and crew members.
- Communicates with customers to ensure satisfaction with ongoing and previous projects.
- Collaborates with the sales team to review project requirements, evaluate feasibility, and provide accurate cost estimates and proposals to clients.
- Sets high expectations for repair team to create positive rapport with homeowners throughout the project and ensure crew members inspire confidence and trust.
- Assists on-site teams in responding to and resolving customer concerns.
- Serves as the escalation point-of-contact for customers and assists in keeping them informed of work progress.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably roofing, siding and general residential construction.
- 1-2 years of leadership and project management experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM, scheduling systems, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
- Ability to handle financial transactions and maintain detailed payment tracking.
Experience Level
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the construction industry
- 1-2 years of leadership and project management experience preferred
