About the Role
The Resource Recovery Center of Orange County is seeking Per Diem RNs to promote the physical and mental health of clients suffering from Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders. This role is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, assisting residents in taking responsibility for their health and coordinating medical services.
Responsibilities
- Promote the physical and mental health of clients by applying the nursing processes.
- Assist residents to assume responsibility for their own health.
- Coordinate and monitor medical services in accordance with regulatory agencies and individual client needs.
- Provide individualized care through ongoing monitoring, recording, and reporting of symptoms or changes in client's condition.
- Utilize electronic medical records to provide high quality, safe client care.
Requirements
- Diploma from a National League for Nursing accredited program for Registered Nurses.
- Current New York State Board of Nursing license and registration in good standing.
- BLS certification (through American Heart Association).
- One (1) year of experience in nursing.
- Preferred, not required, two (2) years of nursing experience in a Substance Abuse setting.
