ALDI is seeking qualified candidates for Store Associates in Staten Island, New York. This role involves providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, stocking shelves, and maintaining store standards in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Operate the cash register, process customer transactions, and handle payments accurately.
- Stock shelves, replenish merchandise, and maintain proper product displays.
- Unload deliveries, organize inventory, and rotate products as needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and direct them to the appropriate items.
- Follow company policies, operational procedures, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete daily tasks efficiently.
- Support multiple store functions, including cashiering, stocking, cleaning, and merchandise handling.
- Maintain productivity, accuracy, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 6 months of recent retail experience is required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to work effectively with coworkers and complete tasks efficiently.
- Must have open availability, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliability, punctuality, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift or move merchandise, with or without reasonable accommodation.
