About the Role
This role provides experienced, hands-on financial expertise and project delivery capacity for business change and Finance improvements. You will lead defined finance workstreams, focusing on business project finance support, governance, financial controls, and finance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of assigned projects and priorities, ensuring effective planning, coordination and timely delivery.
- Investigate complex financial issues and develop practical, commercially appropriate solutions.
- Manage competing priorities, proactively engaging stakeholders and escalating significant risks or decisions.
- Ensure agreed improvements are implemented and transitioned into business-as-usual ownership.
- Lead defined Finance workstreams supporting business projects, strategic initiatives and operating model changes.
- Assess financial accounting, reporting, control and operational implications of business changes.
- Work cross-functionally to resolve issues and support successful project implementation.
- Support the development and implementation of Finance governance frameworks, policies and procedures.
- Identify financial reporting and control gaps, recommending and implementing practical improvements.
- Support improvements to financial accountability, Delegation of Authority and audit readiness.
- Review and improve Finance processes, systems and ways of working to enhance efficiency, consistency and control.
- Support improvements to financial reporting, accounting processes and finance data governance.
- Work collaboratively across Group Finance, Management Accounting, FP&A and other business functions to embed sustainable improvements.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Strong financial accounting, reporting and financial control background.
- Experience supporting business projects, finance transformation or process improvement.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity and deliver results across multiple priorities.
- Commercially aware, proactive and comfortable working hands-on across Finance and the wider business.
- Experience within an international, multi-entity or consumer brands organisation would be advantageous.
