About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and entrepreneurial Marketing Production Director to oversee the planning, management, and delivery of integrated creative production across multiple clients and marketing campaigns. This individual will serve as the central point of coordination between external client stakeholders, internal creative and media teams, and agency partners, translating marketing objectives into actionable creative briefs and overseeing end-to-end production. This role is crucial for building and shaping our creative production function from the ground up, establishing processes, creating structure, and developing scalable workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day production point of contact for external clients, managing creative requests, priorities, timelines, and deliverables across multiple campaigns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, internal marketing teams, creative departments, media teams, and external agency partners.
  • Lead regular creative planning, production status, and stakeholder meetings, proactively communicating progress, upcoming requirements, risks, and dependencies.
  • Partner with account management, strategy, and media teams to understand client objectives and ensure creative production supports broader marketing and commercial goals.
  • Manage client expectations around production timelines, creative capabilities, feedback, and delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate across multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear ownership, accountability, and alignment throughout the production process.
  • Proactively identify production challenges and implement solutions that balance client needs, creative quality, and operational realities.
  • Lead the end-to-end management of creative production, from initial campaign briefing and scoping through asset development, stakeholder reviews, approvals, versioning, and final delivery.
  • Translate marketing objectives, campaign strategies, and media plans into clear, actionable creative briefs for designers, editors, motion graphics artists, and other creative production teams.
  • Oversee the creation and delivery of high-volume creative assets across multiple clients, campaigns, and marketing channels.
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, deliverable lists, and project timelines, ensuring all creative assets are completed against agreed campaign and media deadlines.
  • Coordinate with internal creative teams, external production partners, and freelancers to manage workloads, production capacity, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee creative asset adaptation, resizing, versioning, and localization to meet different campaign, audience, platform, and placement requirements.
  • Manage creative review and approval processes, consolidating stakeholder feedback and ensuring revisions are communicated clearly and efficiently.
  • Maintain quality control across all creative deliverables, ensuring assets align with approved briefs, brand guidelines, technical specifications, and client expectations.
  • Manage multiple concurrent campaigns and production workstreams, effectively prioritizing competing requests and adapting to changing business needs.
  • Oversee creative asset production across a broad range of paid, owned, earned, and experiential marketing channels, ensuring deliverables meet the specific requirements of each platform and placement.
  • Partner closely with media, strategy, and creative teams to understand campaign objectives, target audiences, channel strategies, media specifications, and activation timelines.
  • Coordinate the production and versioning of assets across a variety of marketing formats, including paid & organic social, digital display & programmatic, video & streaming, web & email, out-of-home (OOH) & digital out-of-home (DOOH), print & traditional media, experiential & event marketing, and partnership & sponsorship marketing.
  • Ensure creative teams have sufficient visibility into media plans, technical specifications, asset requirements, and upcoming campaign activations before production begins.
  • Manage asset versioning across different audiences, markets, messaging variations, creative concepts, and media placements.
  • Work closely with media and strategy teams to incorporate campaign performance insights and creative learnings into future briefs and production planning.
  • Ensure final creative assets are properly organized, quality-checked, and delivered in accordance with platform specifications and activation requirements.
  • Take ownership of building and establishing creative production processes, workflows, and operational frameworks from the ground up.
  • Develop scalable systems for creative intake, briefing, resource allocation, production tracking, stakeholder approvals, and asset delivery.
  • Establish clear ways of working across creative, media, account management, and client teams, ensuring consistency, accountability, and transparency throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain a centralized view of active and upcoming creative requests, deliverables, project owners, deadlines, and production status.
  • Proactively identify gaps in existing processes and implement practical solutions that improve efficiency, communication, and overall production quality.
  • Create and maintain standardized briefing templates, production trackers, asset management systems, and approval processes.
  • Support the development of modular creative frameworks, templates, and repeatable production approaches that enable efficient asset adaptation and versioning.
  • Champion new ways of working, driving adoption of production tools, systems, and processes across internal teams and external partners.
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks, resource constraints, and opportunities for automation or process improvement.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation, creative files, brand guidelines, and final assets are accurately organized and accessible across teams.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine production workflows to support increasing creative demands, evolving client needs, and business growth.
  • Bring structure to an evolving production environment while maintaining the flexibility and agility required in a fast-paced creative agency.
  • Collaborate with creative and operational leadership to plan and allocate production resources across multiple clients and campaigns.
  • Manage production scopes, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within agreed budgets.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize production costs while maintaining creative quality and delivery standards.
  • Coordinate with external production partners, freelancers, and vendors when additional creative or production support is required.
  • Oversee production estimates, vendor deliverables, and associated timelines, ensuring accountability throughout the production process.
  • Anticipate resourcing challenges and proactively recommend solutions to meet evolving client and campaign needs.
  • Develop scalable approaches to production planning and resource management as the creative function grows.
  • Provide guidance and direction to producers, production coordinators, and cross-functional creative teams to ensure clear priorities and successful project delivery.
  • Act as a trusted production partner to designers, editors, motion graphics artists, creative directors, strategists, and media specialists.
  • Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented production environment that encourages accountability, clear communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the development of production best practices and help establish consistent standards across creative teams.
  • Take initiative in identifying opportunities to improve collaboration, strengthen team processes, and increase production efficiency.
  • Balance hands-on project management with broader production oversight, ensuring both day-to-day deliverables and longer-term operational priorities are effectively managed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end creative production across multiple clients, campaigns, and marketing channels.
  • Strong understanding of creative asset development and production workflows across digital, social, paid media, video, web, email, print, out-of-home, and experiential marketing.
  • Experience overseeing high-volume asset production, including resizing, adaptation, versioning, and delivery across multiple formats and placements.
  • Strong client-facing experience, with the ability to confidently manage stakeholder relationships, lead production conversations, and communicate with senior internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate marketing objectives, creative concepts, and media requirements into clear production briefs and actionable deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of paid media channels, creative specifications, and the production requirements associated with different platforms and placements.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with experience managing multiple concurrent campaigns, deadlines, budgets, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, including designers, editors, creative directors, media specialists, and external production partners.
  • Strong understanding of creative review, approval, quality assurance, and asset delivery processes.
  • Experience managing production resources, budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
  • Builder mentality: Genuinely excited by the opportunity to build something from the ground up, establish processes, and shape how a growing creative production function operates.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter: Highly proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking initiative, identifying challenges, and driving solutions independently.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: Thrives in evolving environments where processes may not yet exist and enjoys bringing clarity, structure, and direction.
  • Process-oriented problem solver: Proven ability to design, implement, and improve workflows, systems, and ways of working rather than simply maintaining established processes.
  • Ownership mindset: Takes accountability for outcomes, anticipates needs, and drives projects forward with minimal oversight.
  • Collaborative change agent: Able to bring stakeholders along, establish new ways of working, and build alignment across creative, media, and client teams.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify information and clearly articulate priorities and next steps.
  • Experience with creative and project management platforms such as Adobe Workfront, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar workflow management tools.
  • A collaborative, hands-on mindset with a willingness to get involved in the details while maintaining oversight of broader production priorities.
  • Experience working with clients in the sports, entertainment, media, or consumer brand industries.
  • Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns that span digital, traditional, and experiential media.
  • Familiarity with media planning, trafficking, campaign activation, and creative performance optimization.
  • Experience managing large-scale creative asset libraries and digital asset management (DAM) systems.
  • Experience building a production function, implementing new workflows, or establishing operational processes within a growing agency or creative organization.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and the technical considerations involved in preparing creative assets for different marketing channels.
