About the Role
Metz Culinary Management is seeking dependable, friendly, and customer-focused team members for its airport café. This part-time position involves food and beverage preparation, cashiering, stocking, cleaning, and other daily café operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to company standards.
- Brew coffee and maintain beverage machines and coffee stations.
- Set up and maintain hot and cold food service areas.
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service to airport travelers.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process cash and card transactions.
- Prepare, portion, assemble, and label food items.
- Restock condiments, paper products, merchandise, and other supplies.
- Properly store, date, label, and rotate food and inventory.
- Maintain clean, organized, and attractive service and merchandising areas.
- Clean and sanitize counters, tables, equipment, and work areas; sweep and mop floors as needed.
- Receive, unload, and put away deliveries.
- Assist coworkers and perform other operational duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous food service, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability for assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Reliable transportation to and from the airport.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Successful completion of the required background check and airport security badge process.
- Experience desired but willing to train candidates with a passion for food and understanding of basics.
- Ability to apply elementary mathematical statistics for inventory and portioning.
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and contribute where needed.
- Hospitality-driven.
- Able to work and thrive in a team environment.
- Brings a SMILE and strong work ethic to the TEAM.
