About the Role
Language Trainers is seeking a freelance Yiddish Teacher for a client in North York, ON, Canada. The role involves one-to-one instruction for academic research purposes, focusing on reading old newspapers. The student is at an elementary level and the course comprises 50 hours with two-hour sessions.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one Yiddish instruction.
- Adapt teaching to student's academic research needs.
- Meet with student three times per week.
- Be available for sessions on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, or Sundays between 10:00 and 16:00.
Requirements
- Be a native Yiddish speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Have experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Have a valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 30 km of the specified location.
