About the Role
The House Person is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of guest rooms, public spaces, and offices, while also providing light maintenance and exceptional guest service.
Responsibilities
- Clean and inspect all public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met and areas are guest ready.
- Assist room attendants with heavy items and deliver linens and supplies.
- Collect trash throughout the hotel.
- Respond to guest requests for housekeeping supplies in a timely manner.
- Perform carpet shampooing, floor stripping and waxing, and tile steam cleaning.
- Assist guests with the front door and baggage handling.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, replacing light bulbs, checking pool chemicals, and plunging toilets.
- Assist housekeeping and laundry operations as needed.
- Assist with snow and ice removal.
- Ensure meeting rooms are set-up, clean, and ready for guest use.
- Adhere to safety standards and report or correct hazardous conditions.
- Wear proper uniform at all times.
- Follow all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate with guests in English is necessary.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds; push and pull 100 pounds.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the Associate Handbook and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
