About the Role
Hi Marley is seeking a Design Technologist to shape platform experiences for their AI-powered communication software. This role focuses on interaction and visual design, with opportunities to grow into front-end development. You will work on features for the Network and Core Services teams, bringing designs to life in coded prototypes.
Responsibilities
- Design platform features from problem framing through final designs, covering user flows, edge cases, and interaction states.
- Design admin and self-configuration experiences that simplify complex setup and management.
- Create clear, data-heavy screens such as tables, filters, logs, and dashboards.
- Utilize a coded prototype environment to test ideas and demonstrate design behavior to engineering.
- Contribute to the design system by spotting patterns and creating reusable components.
- Collaborate across teams by joining rituals, sharing work early, and explaining design choices.
- Help plan and conduct usability tests with users and translate feedback into design improvements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Product, UX, or Interaction Design.
- A portfolio showcasing strong interaction and visual design craft, clear process, and thoughtful consideration of edge cases and states.
- Proficiency in Figma and comfort working within a design system.
- Interest in designing for complex workflows, forms, settings, permissions, or data-heavy screens.
- Working knowledge of accessibility basics, including keyboard navigation, focus states, and contrast.
- Clear communication, curiosity, and a habit of seeking out feedback.
- Genuine curiosity about AI and emerging technologies, with the judgment to apply them thoughtfully and responsibly.
