About the Role
As Head of Finance, you will ensure that Accounting, FP&A, and Controlling function smoothly and are continuously developed through reliable processes, including automation and tool integration. You will manage all operational finance topics, ensure compliance, provide business partnering to Commercial and Operations, integrate finance processes with other workflows, and manage cash flow and working capital.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Accounting, FP&A, and Controlling function smoothly and are continuously developed through reliable processes, including automation and tool integration.
- Manage all operational finance topics, from preparatory accounting to financial reporting and steering external tax advisors.
- Continuously fulfill compliance obligations, such as Intrastat reports, international tax registrations, and audit preparations.
- Provide meaningful and timely business partnering to Commercial and Operations for informed budget and forecast decisions.
- Ensure all finance-relevant ERP processes are efficiently integrated with supply chain, logistics, and sales workflows through proactive cross-departmental coordination and process optimization.
- Reliably manage and continuously optimize cash flow and working capital.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Accounting within a non-VC-funded company with a proven track record of impact.
- Experience in a hardware company is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in HGB accounting standards.
- Ability to independently prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
- Experience in auditing and managing external accounting and tax advisors.
- Strong commercial acumen to translate complex numbers into actionable recommendations.
- Process-oriented with solid experience in automating finance or operational workflows.
- Ability to maintain commitments, prioritize effectively in hectic phases, and guide a team to do the same.
- Player-coach mentality with the ability to lead a team of 1-2 employees and an external accounting office.
- Fluent German and English language skills are mandatory.
