About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Finance expert to shape a sustainable, profitable business through efficient Accounting processes and strong business partnering for Operations and Commercial functions. This role offers the opportunity to lead and drive the Finance function as part of our Management team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Accounting, FP&A, and Controlling functions operate smoothly and evolve through reliable process setup, leveraging automation and tool integration.
- Manage all operational accounting matters, from preparatory accounting to financial reporting, and oversee external tax advisors.
- Continuously fulfill compliance obligations, including Intrastat reporting, international tax registrations, and audit preparations.
- Provide meaningful and timely business partnering to key business functions (Commercial and Operations) to support budget and forecasting decisions.
- Ensure efficient integration of finance-related ERP processes with supply chain, logistics, and sales workflows through proactive cross-functional alignment.
- Reliably manage and continuously optimize cash flow and working capital.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting in a non-venture backed business with a proven track record of driving impact.
- Experience in a hardware business is a strong plus.
- Confident HGB accounting.
- Independent preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Reliable review of external bookkeeping and tax advisors.
- Strong process orientation and deep experience in automating financial or operational workflows.
- Meticulous follow-up and prioritization skills.
- Player-coach capable of managing a team of 1-2 individual contributors and an external accounting office.
- Fluency in German and English is a must.
