About the Role
Mesh is seeking an exceptional Head of Design to create a deceptively simple crypto payments product that absorbs complexity and disappears for the user. This hands-on role requires world-class design thinking and craft, with the opportunity to build and lead a team, and innovate in the AI era.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Mesh experience, including the consumer app and all merchant surfaces.
- Manage, coach, and grow the design team, setting the talent bar for Mesh.
- Reinvent design for the AI era by defining tools, workflows, and processes.
- Represent design at the executive level, influencing roadmap and customer decisions.
Requirements
- 8+ years in product design, with 3+ years leading designers hands-on.
- Shipped consumer products at scale.
- Track record of designing for complex systems where failure has high stakes.
- Ability to originate conceptual models and articulate design decisions.
- Experience influencing roadmap direction with executives and engineering leaders.
- Aggressively use AI in design practice and rethink manual design tasks.
- Portfolio that demonstrates success beyond the happy path, including failure scenarios.
