About the Role
Mesh is seeking a Founding PM for Agentic Commerce to explore and define how AI agents will revolutionize commerce and payments. This unique role involves building with emerging protocols, engaging with the community, and running experiments on live payment rails to shape Mesh's future strategy.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the central point of contact for agentic commerce at Mesh, evaluating its reality, hype, and testing potential.
- Become the company's expert on agentic commerce protocols, standards, model capabilities, and industry players.
- Build functional agents that complete real transactions on live payment rails through coding, protocol integration, and experiment execution.
- Recruit customers for experiments from Mesh's existing customer base.
- Represent Mesh at industry events, including protocol working groups and hackathons, to establish brand presence.
- Develop business cases, assess investment opportunities, and present findings to the SVP of Product based on experimental evidence.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building a product or project independently, such as an early-stage startup, a widely used side project, or a functional agent for buying, booking, or trading.
- Ability to independently develop an idea into a working prototype using code, APIs, and AI tools without requiring explicit permission or resources.
- Capacity to form strong opinions based on incomplete information and adapt them as new evidence emerges.
- Genuine curiosity about how money moves.
- Willingness to demonstrate a past project and explain the decision-making process behind it.
