About the Role
CBI Home Health is seeking Personal Support Workers to join our team in the Toronto region. This role is crucial in supporting clients to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their homes and communities.
Responsibilities
- Support clients to be safe and independent in their homes.
- Provide personal care to clients.
- Assist clients with mobilization and light exercises.
- Observe, document, and report any changes in client condition to management.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks as indicated in client care plans.
Requirements
- Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker, Internationally Trained RN/RPN or Midwife, or post-1st year Nursing student in Ontario).
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certificate.
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 12 months.
- Proof of a negative TB test within the last 12 months and up-to-date immunization record.
- Ability to travel from home to home within the community.
- Commitment to work every other weekend, minimum 5 hours both Saturday and Sunday.
- Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs. (16 kg).
Skills
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to communicate in French or other languages (asset).
- Reliability.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and access to a reliable vehicle (asset).
