About the Role
Dominion Energy is seeking a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering intern to join the Rapid Response Design Engineering department at Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT for the summer of 2027. The intern will gain design expertise, ownership, and maintenance experience in Mechanical Engineering areas, supporting the station's design basis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and provide implementation support for design changes and modifications to ensure long-term reliability and operation of the station.
- Support projects developed by Station Design and Station Projects organizations, as well as external vendors and architect-engineers.
- Prepare or revise calculations to support engineering products.
- Conduct inspections of station structures and equipment.
Requirements
- Must be a student studying Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering in an ABET accredited engineering program at a 4-year college or university.
- Must have a graduation date of December 2028 or later.
- Must have a GPA of at least 3.0.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired.
- Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid engineering skills, commensurate with grade level.
- Good communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer skills.
- An inquisitive nature, an ability to follow written and verbal directions, and strong professional ethics.
