About the Role
This role is central to building Janus Digital's AI BIM platform, focusing on delivering production-grade MEP and commercial BIM models using AI tooling. The position combines hands-on modeling with market research on AI for AEC, directly influencing the platform's development and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Produce federated MEP models (HVAC, plumbing and drainage, fire protection, electrical, ELV and low-current systems) for various project types.
- Model to LOD 350-400, including fabrication-ready components.
- Build and maintain parametric Revit families, shared parameters, and project templates.
- Run clash detection in Navisworks and BIM Collaborate Pro.
- Apply AI and automation across the modelling workflow.
- Write and maintain Dynamo and pyRevit/Python scripts, utilizing AI coding assistants.
- Map the AI-for-AEC landscape and evaluate shortlisted tools on project data.
- Collaborate with the Chief Platform/Product Officer to shape platform priorities.
- Apply ISO 19650 information management principles.
- Work with the Product team on developing an AI automation BIM tool.
- Test and trail new AI tool kits for building.
Requirements
- 6+ years of BIM modelling experience, with at least 4 years focused on MEP in commercial projects.
- Portfolio of coordinated LOD 350+ MEP models on at least 3 delivered commercial projects.
- Proven delivery on ISO 19650 projects, including multi-disciplinary clash coordination.
- Demonstrable use of scripting or AI tools to speed up modelling, with before-and-after evidence.
