About the Role

As an experienced Data Engineer-Consultant, you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects without extensive travel demands, working within Deloitte's Project Talent Model for long-term, onsite client service delivery.

Responsibilities

Work with Business Analysts to understand requirements.
Collaborate with Application Architects to understand design.
Build low-level data pipeline specifications in Databricks and Apache Hadoop using Spark.
Unit test data pipelines.
Coordinate with other team members (onshore/offshore) for integration buildout.
Support SIT and UAT.
Support pipeline deployment.
Support post-production maintenance and monitoring.
Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers, project team members, and representatives from various functional and/or technical teams, escalating matters requiring additional attention.

Requirements

4+ years of hands-on experience in Data engineering.
Technical proficiency in SQL, Azure Databricks, and Apache Spark.
Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work performed and the clients and industries/sectors served.
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
