About the Role

Lean is hiring a Principal Product Manager to own product for LeanX, our cross-border payments and stablecoin infrastructure business. This is a startup inside a scale-up, and you will be shaping it from close to day one, setting product direction, deciding what to build and in what order, and working directly with engineering to get it built. You will have Lean's infrastructure, licenses, clients, and leadership behind you. The role involves turning manual processes into a scalable product and requires comfort in navigating between regulation, engineering, product, and commercial aspects.

Responsibilities

  • Own product strategy for LeanX across all its product lines.
  • Translate strategy into clear specifications, priorities, and roadmaps for the engineering team.
  • Manage priority changes, considering team capacity and trade-offs.
  • Contribute to LeanX's long-term strategy and communicate it company-wide.
  • Build a cross-border platform competitive with global payout networks.
  • Ensure the platform scales for increased volume, clients, and corridors.
  • Automate treasury operations, including pre-funding, liquidity, FX, and reconciliation.
  • Define and guide the engineering team on the technical infrastructure for a cross-border platform.
  • Facilitate client integration and go-live through APIs, documentation, sandbox, and onboarding.
  • Integrate regulation, licensing, and partner coverage into the product strategy.
  • Own the roadmap for stablecoin infrastructure, including wallets as a service, on-ramps/off-ramps, and payouts.
  • Identify and prioritize adjacent opportunities while avoiding distractions.
  • Ensure LeanX leverages Lean's core infrastructure effectively.
  • Maintain a unified platform across stablecoin and fiat, licenses, and product lines.
  • Align working methods between the Lean and LeanX teams.
  • Serve as the primary contact for product-related inquiries from clients, commercial teams, and the company.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team on the sales pipeline and client needs.
  • Implement automation for routine coordination tasks.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in product management, with senior ownership of B2B or infrastructure products.
  • Experience in cross-border payments, remittance, payouts, treasury, or stablecoin and digital asset infrastructure.
  • Strong technical fluency, including comfort with APIs, system design, and engineering trade-offs.
  • Proven track record of taking products from early stage to scale, preferably in a startup or new business line.
  • Experience working in regulated environments, treating compliance and licensing as product inputs.
  • Clear, concise written communication skills for writing specifications and strategy documents.
  • Experience working with distributed engineering teams across time zones.
  • High agency and sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience in the GCC, South Asia, or other emerging-market payment corridors is a plus.
  • Experience building with AI tools to automate product and team workflows is a plus.
  • Arabic language skills are a plus.
