About the Role
As PM for Payouts Platform, you'll own the vision, roadmap and results for how money gets to its destination. Your goal is to make paying out fast, reliable and low-cost for each user, in every market we serve.
Responsibilities
- Set the vision and roadmap, balancing new capabilities, reliability, and cost.
- Build a platform that enables product teams to launch new products without building payouts from scratch.
- Expand reach by deciding which markets and rails to invest in, leading platform launches with FX, Compliance, and Treasury.
- Shape partner strategy by defining platform needs, evaluating partner performance, and making integration decisions.
- Improve performance by defining routing and validation strategies to increase success rates and speed while lowering cost.
- Reduce manual work by prioritizing improvements that eliminate manual handling of failed payouts and providing real-time visibility.
- Align across teams to ensure payouts are compliant, funded, and supportable, working with Compliance, Treasury, and product teams.
- Set service commitments for reliability and performance, and prioritize work to meet them with the engineering team.
- Report on the success, speed, and cost of payouts.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product management, with at least 2 years on payments, payouts, or money movement products.
- Experience owning a product whose main customers were other teams or developers (platform and API experience).
- Understanding of how payout rails and partners work, including settlement timing, returns, failure modes, and partner SLAs.
- Track record of taking third-party integrations from evaluation to production with engineering and commercial teams.
- Comfortable with SQL and defining/tracking reliability and cost metrics.
- Ability to explain trade-offs clearly to engineers, ops teams, and executives.
