About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Specialist with a knack for hands-on work and technical understanding to join our dynamic team at the JW Marriott Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Maintain tidiness in all areas.
- Maintain the hotel’s technical systems in collaboration with engineering and housekeeping teams.
- Fulfill all technical guest requests.
- Repair and maintain guest rooms.
- Check technical safety in hotel hallways and public areas.
- Perform building maintenance tasks, including plumbing, painting, carpentry, and tiling.
- Work closely with other departments and immediate colleagues.
- Assist with day-to-day repair tasks.
- Comply with all safety regulations, corporate, and hotel policies.
- Exhibit a guest-oriented demeanor.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in a skilled trade (electronics technician, painter, or comparable).
- Professional experience in a similar position, ideally in a hotel.
- Enjoy working as part of a team and eagerness to share knowledge.
- Good communication skills in German (spoken and written).
- Ideally, good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Positive demeanor when interacting with people.
- Strong sense of safety and responsibility when handling materials.
- Expertise in electrical systems, refrigeration, and/or heating, ventilation, and plumbing.
