About the Role
The Technology Strategy Department is responsible for tasks such as license management, radio wave policy, and radio wave technology, in collaboration with relevant internal departments. Additionally, it handles a wide range of responsibilities including technical strategy, frequency strategy, and the formulation of technical conditions and regulatory measures for new systems such as 5G, 6G, and satellite communications in the wireless communication business.
Responsibilities
- Participate in various committees and working groups, and liaise with relevant departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications regarding radio wave policy.
- Conduct domestic and international research on systems related to wireless communication and frequency utilization, and gather information.
- Coordinate and negotiate with peer companies and stakeholders involved in radio waves.
- Provide support for license applications and experimental trials.
- Handle radio wave policy and regulatory matters with relevant departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
- Responsible for creating and submitting lists of radio operators to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and regional bureaus.
- Responsible for submitting regular inspection plans and inspection result reports to regional bureaus.
- Consolidate and manage radio wave usage fees and license application fees.
- Create annual plans for license applications and explain them to regional bureaus.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge in the field of wireless communication (3 years or more of professional experience in a related field, or equivalent technical knowledge).
- High communication skills: Japanese.
- English proficiency: TOEIC score of 600 or higher.
- Teamwork and proactive problem-solving abilities.
Skills
- Knowledge of Japanese Radio Law
- Knowledge and experience in co-channel sharing, interference analysis, and radio protection guidelines
- Knowledge of wireless communication systems and Japanese frequency utilization status
- Knowledge and practical experience in wireless equipment certification and license application
- Qualifications such as Registered Radio Technician (Land) / Special Radio Operator (Land)
