About the Role
As our Senior Platform Engineer, your mission is to design, operate and scale the foundations every Sparteo product relies on. You will take ownership of critical parts of the stack, lead architecture decisions and help the team grow.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and operate our Kubernetes platform: networking, ingress, GitOps and configuration management.
- Own CI/CD pipelines and packaging, with an automation-first approach from provisioning to deployment.
- Operate our observability stack, with large-scale metrics and log management.
- Own runbooks and the alerting catalog to keep our platform reliable and our on-call actionable.
- Operate our data infrastructure: distributed storage, high-performance analytical and relational databases, and in-memory datastores.
- Scale our physical infrastructure: server procurement, rack upgrades and network capacity.
- Contribute to cost optimization across the whole platform.
- Take part in the expansion of our infrastructure in the US.
- Lead architecture decisions on the platform.
- Mentor junior team members and share best practices across the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years in infrastructure / DevOps, with solid production Kubernetes experience, ideally on bare metal.
- An automation-first mindset: provisioning, configuration management, GitOps.
- Strong networking fundamentals: BGP, L2/L3, load balancing.
- Experience with distributed storage or large-scale databases (Nice to have).
- Instincts for troubleshooting at kernel, network and hardware level (Nice to have).
- Strong communication with product teams and stakeholders.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); French is a plus.
- AI-native reflex: You are open to AI-assisted tooling in your daily workflows and use it to automate, document and move faster.
