About the Role
Ensure the highest quality Localized Software and Siri experience for Apple users worldwide. Collaborate with Software Engineering teams to improve Apple's Software and Siri experience. The Japan Localization Quality team designs, implements, and drives automated and manual test plans for international software products, increasingly using Agentic AI and LLMs for testing, analysis, and scaling quality work. Seeking motivated individuals for a diverse, multicultural team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure testing for features across multiple software platforms, languages, and locales is performed with the highest quality and efficiency under time constraints.
Requirements
- Native speaker of Japanese.
- Deep knowledge of linguistics.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Full working proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent team player.
- Self-driven, with the flexibility to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Enjoys breaking software to improve it.
- Experience in software localization.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of how LLMs and generative AI behave, including their limitations such as hallucination, inconsistency, and language/locale bias.

- Prompt engineering
- Building agents or automations
- AI-assisted testing, analysis, or content workflows
- Evaluating or red-teaming LLM output, especially Japanese-language output
- Scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, shell)
- Familiarity with tool-calling, MCP, or workflow orchestration
- Ability to judge when AI output can be trusted and when human linguistic review is essential
- Localization and internationalization testing (IME input, date/currency formatting, CJK rendering)
