About the Role
As a Beauty Expert, you are the ultimate VIOLET GREY brand ambassador. You offer best-in-class service with the utmost savoir-faire, grace, and respect to all clients, in a stylish boutique. Your role goes beyond completing a transaction; you employ a broad skillset to build and support a thriving retail business by connecting with, engaging, developing, and retaining clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct business activities in a manner befitting an intimate retail space
- Foster teamwork, diplomacy, and professionalism with boutique staff, corporate and brand partners, The Committee, and friends of VIOLET GREY
- Contribute to building the business by achieving sales goals and hitting key metrics
- Leverage products, promotions, services, and data-capture to recruit and loyalize clientele
- Attend vendor trainings to stay abreast of new launches and to refresh base knowledge
- Act as steward of stock organization, tester hygiene, and visual merchandising in the boutique
- Discover client preferences and lifestyle needs to recommend products that satisfy and promote credibility and repeat business
- Uphold an omni-channel mindset to seamlessly service clients through all touchpoints
- Develop client relationships through various outreach and engagement activities
- Address and resolve client situations according to company standards
- Provide makeup application for talent, company partners, and all others required by VIOLET GREY
- Observe social media etiquette when posting about the company, its brand partners, and products
- Participate voluntarily to be photographed or filmed for social media content
Requirements
- Understand the unique position of VIOLET GREY as The Industry's Beauty Edit, and know its heritage
- Command a proficient knowledge of brands and product offerings and their points of difference
- Strong retail beauty sales background
- Luxury brand and boutique experience necessary
- Makeup artistry skilled
- Client development savvy
- Self-motivated — able to strategize own business

Salary/Compensations
- $33 – $36 per hour, commensurate with experience, with additional earning potential through a performance-based incentive program.
