About the Role
Abode Money is seeking an autonomous utility player to lead operations initiatives, working closely with the CEO. This role involves taking new markets from ambiguity to live operations and owning appeals filing at scale. It is ideal for someone who desires real ownership, is data-oriented, and is driven to achieve results.
Responsibilities
- Lead new market launches from ambiguity to execution, building the playbooks and systems to scale.
- Own filing across counties for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance, managing a team of 5+ contractors.
- Turn customer pain, contractor workflows, and county edge cases into clear product requirements.
- Research local property tax rules, write customer-facing guides, and surface local nuances to product and engineering.
- Take on high-impact problems and drive them to done with urgency and data.
Requirements
- Located in Austin or willing to relocate.
- Work in person 5 days a week.
- 3+ years in consulting, banking, product, operations, or early-stage startups.
- Have taken projects from idea to execution independently.
- Make confident decisions with imperfect information.
- Biased toward action and low-ego.
Skills
- Proficient with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude).
- Proficient with data tools (Excel or Sheets, SQL).
