About the Role
As part of our team, you will be responsible for the detailed planning of electrical engineering systems for our data center projects. You will create circuit diagrams for low and medium voltage switchgear, dimension and plan electrical engineering systems including consumer lists, cabling, and layouts, with a special focus on data center requirements such as redundancy concepts, high availability, and UPS systems. You will also determine quantity structures, create service specifications, and provide conceptual support during the early planning phases. This role involves approximately 20-25% travel to our project sites within Germany.
Responsibilities
- Detailed planning of electrical engineering systems for data center projects.
- Creation of circuit diagrams for low and medium voltage switchgear.
- Dimensioning and planning of electrical engineering systems (consumer lists, cabling, layout) with a focus on data center requirements (redundancy concepts, high availability, UPS systems).
- Determination of quantity structures and creation of service specifications.
- Conceptual support during the early planning phase.
- Travel to project sites within Germany (approx. 20-25% of time).
Requirements
- Completed training as a technician or engineer in electrical engineering, building services, or a comparable qualification.
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in planning electrical engineering systems, ideally with a data center or mission-critical background.
- Knowledge of HOAI/VOB and relevant regulations.
- Experience in creating circuit diagrams and proficient CAD skills.
- Ideally, experience with 3D planning/BIM.
