About the Role
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong AutoCAD skills to join our Water/Wastewater Engineering team in Syracuse, NY. This role offers an opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects, develop technical skills, and grow within a supportive, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform design, drafting, and project-related tasks using AutoCAD.
- Transform base map information and designs into CADD produced drawings.
- Assist in setting up and drafting project base maps by analyzing utility drawings and sketches.
- Produce computer-generated plans, profiles, and section drawings from detailed sketches.
- Adhere to company and client standard CAD procedures for layering and sheet layout.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure project completion.
- Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets.
- Draft water, sewer, gas, and related utility design information on base maps.
- Undertake assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency grows.
- Perform field audits of AutoCAD drafted base maps for accuracy.
- Coordinate with surveyors and sub-consultants on survey deliverables.
Requirements
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 or higher.
- 2-5+ years of related experience.
- Experience in reading and interpreting utility as-built drawings is preferred.
- Experience in water and sewer systems drafting is optional.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications.
