About the Role
Gallagher Bassett Canada is seeking an experienced, talented, results-driven Claims Supervisor to mentor a team committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves leading a team of adjusters and support staff, managing claims, and ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of adjusters and administrative and technical support staff.
- Drive adjuster hiring and development to foster a high-performance culture.
- Lead a claims team that delivers high quality and efficient service.
- Guide, mentor, and develop direct reports through team goals and workload balancing.
- Continuously improve team efficiency and quality using Gallagher's technology.
- Communicate with clients, carriers, and brokers professionally and proactively.
- Effectively lead multiple priorities, recognize coaching opportunities, and position team members for success.
Requirements
- High school diploma and 5 years of related claims experience.
- CIP completion or in progress with minimum courses for licensing C110, C11, C12, C14.
- Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all provinces where claims are handled or able to obtain necessary licenses/certifications.
- Extensive knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
- Computer experience with related claims and business software.
- Ability to think critically, solve problems, plan and organize activities, serve clients, negotiate, communicate effectively, and embrace new challenges.
- Analytical skills necessary to make decisions and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to successfully negotiate the settlement and disposition of serious claims, including interpreting related documentation.
