About the Role
This role involves researching and analyzing cutting-edge technologies for the USPTO, providing PCT Chapter I Search and Examination services. You will conduct comprehensive searches and prepare written opinions on the patentability of diverse technologies.
Responsibilities
- Accept projects with a defined due date based on availability and Clarivate's needs.
- Read disclosures quickly and understand technical nuances.
- Perform comprehensive searches to locate relevant prior art and provide a complete search history.
- Prepare written opinions applying prior art to disclosures.
- Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases and proprietary databases.
- Stay abreast of best practices and changes to search procedures.
- Maintain consistent timeliness and superior quality of deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with Clarivate’s Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Conduct.
Requirements
- Must pass USPTO Background check.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
- U.S. citizen or work eligible legal resident who has resided in the U.S. for the last two years.
- Reliable, High Speed Internet connection (at least 10 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload).
- Secure work location; working from public areas is not permitted.
- Phone and voicemail service for business communication.
