About the Role
The Set Up Trainee Associate assists with the setup, breakdown, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of Encapsulation/Tablet machines and ancillary equipment, while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). This role ensures the quality and quantity of manufactured products.
Responsibilities
- Assist with complete changeovers, set-ups, and start-ups of Encapsulation/Tablet machine under trainer guidance.
- Assist with major and minor cleaning and sanitization of the Encapsulation/Tablet machine and ancillary equipment under trainer guidance.
- Assist with Preventative Maintenance on specified equipment as per PM checklist and trainer instructions.
- Assist mechanics in resolving mechanical issues.
- Set up powder transfer / vacuum-max.
- Verify physical parameters and product appearance against reference boards during startup.
- Verify physical parameters against batch records during troubleshooting.
- Use proper tools to perform assigned tasks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Mechanically inclined.
- Understanding of Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Must comply with GMP requirements.
- Work environment may expose individuals to powders, chemicals, and allergens.
- Ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including bending, twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and climb.
- Must be able to successfully clear drug screening processes, including testing for all illegal substances per Federal Guidelines.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of measuring tools.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools.
- Basic knowledge of hardware.
- Electrical knowledge is helpful.
