About the Role
The Senior Property Claims Specialist will resolve Commercial Property Claims for insureds in a timely and professional manner. This is an inside, desk adjuster position.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, make coverage determination, prepare complete scope and adjust to disposition commercial lines losses.
- Engage in extensive personal contact with insureds, their legal representatives, and customer agents, with occasional contact with law enforcement officials.
- Independently handle and settle a high volume of claims within assigned authority with limited supervision.
- Submit reports within specified time frames as required by the Claims Technical Manual or supervisor/manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Conform with all corporate policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Four year college degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-4 years adjusting experience in first party property line of business.
- Commercial property claims experience required.
- Required to obtain adjuster license(s) in the state(s) in which claims are adjusted.
- Licensing must be obtained within the timeframe set forth by the Company and maintained as needed throughout employment.
