About the Role
This ICU Nurse Fellowship aims to address the shortage of critical care nurses in the UK by providing an immersive 6-month program for early-career nurses. It includes classroom and direct care modules within a brand-new, high-acuity environment with the latest equipment.
Responsibilities
- Expand skills and knowledge in critical care practice to provide direct nursing care to patients requiring level 2 and 3 care.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Prioritize nursing care, recognize patient deterioration, and escalate to the site team/clinician immediately.
- Evaluate, update, and revise the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
- Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Requirements
- NMC registered Adult Nurse (Essential)
- Willing to undertake relevant post-registration courses (Essential)
- Suitable hospital-based nursing experience
