About the Role
Gigs is seeking an individual to build and operationalize regulatory and compliance systems to support rapid market growth. This role involves building workflows, designing processes, shipping tooling, and collaborating across departments to enable new market launches and ensure ongoing compliance.
Responsibilities
- Build operational infrastructure for market expansion, owning the end-to-end process for launching in new markets.
- Turn regulatory requirements into systems by building clear, repeatable processes.
- Partner with Engineering and Product to embed controls into systems and reduce manual work.
- Own filings, registrations, and reporting for ongoing regulatory obligations.
- Define metrics, build dashboards, and track compliance health.
- Maintain clear, findable, and up-to-date policies, procedures, and process documentation.
- Monitor new regulatory requirements and build implementation plans.
Requirements
- 5+ years of regulatory and compliance experience, ideally in telecom or other regulated tech businesses.
- Experience building or scaling compliance systems in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to research and interpret legal and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with common compliance areas like consumer protection, privacy, and infosec.
- Experience turning regulatory requirements into working processes.
- Comfortable with tooling such as GRC systems, databases, and workflow automation.
- Ability to build things using AI.
- Strong communication skills, able to explain complex regulatory information to technical and legal teams.
